Whitestone was formed in January, 2000 in response to a songwriters showcase in Nashville, Tennessee by Debbie Tavernier. The band plays a full mix of Country, Classic Rock, 80’s Rock, and Current tunes. Whitestone has performed in multiple venues for weddings, corporate events, private events and local clubs in the Austin and Central Texas area, as well as performances in Oregon, Tennessee, Washington and Nebraska. Whitestone performed with Alan Jackson’s Band – The Streyhorns in Nashville and performed with Malford Milligan (Storyville) on stage and in the studio. Television performances included the “Fox Morning Show”, KXAN’s “Music at Noon” and a featured story with KXAN’s own “Out on the Porch” with Jim Swift.
Clients include: Corporate events for Dell, Applied Materials, Intel, DR Horton and The Home Depot. The band also performed for an international ISEF event for Intel Corp. Charity events include: Local Cancer Society, Relay for Life, the Capital Area Food Bank, BACA (Bikers Against Child Abuse) and Kickin’ Cancer for Kelly. Whitestone released our first original album in 2007, titled “Color Me Gone”, which includes the singles, “Austin City Limits” and title track “Color Me Gone”.
